Useful questions?

You all know that I have been interviewing with different companies for the past few weeks. After attending a few, I found that they all ask some similar questions. All of these fall in the category of "personality/leadership" questions like - tell me about an instance where you displayed leadership qualities, tell me what you would do if you faced a problem, what strategy do you use to overcome issues, etc... Now, of course, there is no one right answer. So I suppose their intention is to see if you can answer questions and if you speak well? Whatever it is, I am sure it has a purpose but I truly dislike answering such questions. Unfortunately, I do not have much of a choice.
